CJSC Stroytransgaz to Build Pipelines for NOVATEK

October 26, 2013

CJSC Stroytransgaz has won a tender for the construction of two pipelines from Yarudeyskoye oil and gas condensate deposit in Nadym region, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. The project owner is Yargeo, a NOVATEK subsidiary.

CJSC Stroytransgaz will complete several facilities in the framework of the contract. That includes construction of a 43.2 km long section of an oil pipeline and a 42 km long section of a gas pipeline. The official name of the project is ‘Section 107.4–150.6 km of the Yarudeyskoye field – Purpe pump station oil pipeline / Section 107–149 km of the Yarudeyskoye field – Nadymskaya compressor station gas pipeline’.

The construction will continue through 2015. Due to climate conditions in the region the works can only be conducted in winter; the pipeline trenching is scheduled for winter months of 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.

Within this project CJSC Stroytransgaz will complete two underwater passages – each one being over 500 m long – over the Kheygiyakha river by horizontal directional drilling.

The company will also build all necessary infrastructure facilities on a turn-key basis, including a fibre-optic leak and activity monitoring system, as well as a cable communication line.

“The new contract with NOVATEK is a part of our strategy for diversification of the contracts portfolio, which is being successfully implemented”, Anton Rae, CEO of CJSC Stroytransgaz, commented. “We are glad that CJSC Stroytransgaz is involved in a large scale project for development of the new promising deposits in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District”.
