Tomsk training centre of CJSC Stroytransgaz receives NAKS accreditation

The National Welding Control Agency (NAKS) accredited the certified office of the training and production center at the branch of CJSC Stroytransgaz in the city of Tomsk to conduct practical exams when certifying welders.
The NAKS certificate gives an opportunity for the training centre to certify welders (specialists with professional training, level I) for hazardous production sites.
Earlier the qualification of trainees was determined by a contracting organization that significantly restricted capabilities of the centre. By virtue of this accreditation the company obtained an opportunity to increase the volume of works on welders` qualification upgrade and together with the NAKS started certification of welding operators including additional requirements of different organizations and companies of Russia.
“The centres are under constant development, on the territory thereof there are technology, process, equipment and material testing and approval. Our services are in demand among such big oil and gas companies like Gazprom and Transneft. I am sure that the NAKS attestation will become a new powerful impulse to increase the centres` effectiveness”, remarked Vladimir Kartashyan, General Director of CJSC Stroytransgaz.
The training and production centre in the city of Tomsk was opened in 2011. It can graduate more than 2,500 specialists annually. The classes are held by staff from industry scientific, research, and training institutions, as well as specialized organizations.
The centre has welding equipment, mechanical treatment equipment, welding and main materials preparation.
Attested specialists get attestation certificates and a NAKS record confirming their permit to implement welding at production sites in accordance with the requirements of the current regulatory and technical documentation.
Earlier, the training and production centre in the city of Gagarin, the Smolensk region, received the NAKS accreditation.
