CJSC Stroytransgaz starts first facility for the Power of Siberia

CJSC Stroytransgaz appeared as general contractor under a contract with Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk LLC for the construction of the first infrastructure facility to develop the Chayandinskoe filed deposit.

The contract implies the execution of complex works for the construction of a berth for heavy-weight cargo and construction goods on the Lena river situated in the village of Peleduy of the Lenskiy district of the Republic of Yakutiya.

The aim of the facility implementation is the cargo reception for the construction of infrastructure and development of the Chayandinskiy filed deposit – a resource base of the gas transportation system Power of Siberia. The project customer is Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk LLC, contractor works are to be completed in April 2016.

“The site is a hydrotechnical facility: a greater part will be held under water in difficult environmental conditions. CJSC Stroytransgaz has necessary production and personnel resources to implement such kind of project and is interested in further participation in the construction of the gas transportation system Power of Siberia, remarked Vladimir Kartashyan, General Director of CJSC Stroytransgaz.

The “Power of Siberia” is a gas transportation system to provide gas transportation from Yakutskiy and Irkutskiy centres of gas production to the Far East of Russia and China. The main gas pipeline will cover the territory of five federal subjects of the Russian Federation: the Irkutsk region, the republic of Sakha (Yakutiya), the Amur region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, and the Khabarovsk Territory. The total length will make about 4,000 km, the design output — 38 bln m3 of gas per year.

The Chayandinskoye field deposit is considered to be a unique one judging by the deposit size (categories С1+С2): 1.45 trillion m3 of gas and about 93 mln tons of liquid hydrocarbons (extracted). At the full field development there will be extracted up to 25 bln m3 of gas per year and not less than 1.5 mln tons of oil per year. The beginning of the gas production at the Chayandinskoye field deposit is planned for the end of 2018.
